What grade are you in?
I'm a Junior!
How long have you been showing?
I have been showing since I was 9 years old.
Why did you pick goats?
I started out showing cattle (and still do) but after I started going to stock shows I thought goats looked fun since it was fairly new to the showing industry.
Who has helped you the most with your show projects?
At my house it is a family effort we all pitch in. But the three individuals that have helped me the most are: Chris Kelln, Mike Thompson, and my Dad.
What do you want to do when you grow up?
I'm still undecided but I do know I ALWAYS want to be around livestock. I enjoy taking pictures of livestock and I am very interested in animal medicine.
Best part about showing?
When you place high in a class your hard work really pays off. Probably my favorite is getting to meet new/lifelong friends.
What activities are you involved in other than showing?
I'm involved with my church, and I play baseball. I really like to livestock judge, give speeches, and help teach younger individuals how to show.
Where do you plan to attend college?
That's an easy one: OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY! I'd like to double major Agricultural Communications and Animal Science.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of the show ring?
What I enjoy the most is riding my four wheeler, and checking cattle with my little brother and dad. |
